Italian police have recently made a major breakthrough
Last November
A female tourist from China, surnamed Zhao
Was found drowned a week later in waters on the outskirts of Venice
Recently, the deceased woman’s family contacted the police again
Claiming that the woman killed last year was an impostor
And that the real Zhao’s whereabouts remain unknown…
Did you hear it?
What kind of sound was it?
Low
A low, noisy sound
Loud enough to drown out her cries for help?
Last autumn, in Venice
We agreed to go and see the pelicans
Last autumn, in Venice
We agreed to go and see the pelicans
Was it only an accident?
Yes, it was only an accident
Was it only an accident?
Yes, it was only an accident
Do you believe you are innocent? I have no witnesses

We agreed to meet somewhere
When I arrived
A stranger walked toward me

That person walked toward me
A stranger
He pushed me into the water
He pushed me into the water
He pushed me into the water aa
As I sank
Some voices sounded in my ears
“There is already someone just like you.”
“There should not be two identical people in the world”
“So you must disappear”
Once again, I climbed ashore
To keep the appointment
When I came ashore, I felt very cold
I did not see a single pelican
Was it an accident?
No, it was not an accident
So I ran away
To a place where it snows all year

There you can never see pelicans
Never see them
Only, in my heart, I hear all the time
The sound of her playing
End
